英语作文国际象棋比赛规则
International chess competition rules are quite simple. Each player has a set of 16 pieces, including one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns. The game is played on a square board divided into 64 squares of alternating colors.
The objective of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king. This means the king is in a position to be captured and cannot escape capture. The game can also end in a draw if there is no possible way for either player to checkmate the opponent's king.
国际象棋游戏规则    Players take turns to move their pieces. Each piece has its own way of moving, and capturing an opponent's piece is done by moving one's own piece to the square occupied by the opponent's piece.
The most powerful piece on the board is the queen, which can move any number of squares in any direction. The least powerful piece is the pawn, which can only move forward and capture diagonally.
Special moves in chess include castling, en passant, and promotion. Castling involves moving the king two squares towards a rook, then moving the rook to the square next to the king. En passant is a pawn capt
ure that can only occur immediately after a pawn moves two squares forward from its starting position. Promotion occurs when a pawn reaches the opponent's back rank and can be exchanged for any other piece except a king.
The game ends when a player checkmates the opponent's king, when a player resigns, when the game ends in a draw, or when an illegal move is made and the player's opponent claims a win.
