One-day Tour to Liujiaxia Hydropoewr Station and Bingling Temper
Ⅰ Itinerary
Morning service: a bus tour to Yongjing County after breakfast in Lanzhou (about 2 hours ride), next appreciating the local folk and custom at the Folk-Custom Museum in Yongjing County (about 1 hour).
Noon service: visiting the Liujiaxia Hydropower Station (about 2 hours after the lunch in Yongjing County’s special food street (about 1 hour).
黄光熙韩善花Afternoon service: enjoying the beautiful scenery when cross the Liujiaxia water storage to west end- Bingling Temper by boat（about 2 hours）,then visiting one of the three largest caves—Bingling thousand Buddha Caves in Gansu(about 1 hour), and then a yacht tour back to Liujiaxia Town and return Lanzhou by bus ending the pleasant trip.

Liujiaxia Hydropower Station
Liujiaxia Hydropower Station is located in the scenic spot of the Three Gorges of the Yellow River, which is in Yongjing Country. It's about 76 km west of Lanzhou , it is the seventh China hydropower station of the main station.
Liujiaxia Hydropower Station was designed by the engineeres of our country and the production installation, adjustment and management of it's equipment were conducted by the Chinese .it is the fist large-scaled hydropower station in China .It cut the high gages ,steps the water of the Yellow River and Tao river and formes the greatest man-mucle lake--Liujiaxia Reservia ,liujiaxia hydropower station was 147km high and it was the greatest hydropower station in Asia

Bingling Thousand Buddha Temper
1 Bingling temple is on the Jishi hill which is fifty kilometers west of the Yongjing country ,Boating from the liujiaxia Dam for fifty minutes ,we can see the Bingling, Thousand Buddha caves ,Bingling temple used to be named as tangshu caves which means the caves of the ghosts in the Langrage of Qing people before Tang Dynasty ,from “Tangshu” we can see the mystique of the cavers ,It was named Bingling Temple in the Ming Dynasty .Do you know the words “Bingling “means ?They mean Ten Thousand Buddha which is a transliteration of Tibetan. The caves were initially made in 420and expended several times through Northern Wei ,Western wei ,Northern Zhou ,Sui Tang ,Yuan .Ming a
nd Qing Dynasty ,And now it is one of the three largest in Gansu, and the ten largest caver in China.
2 The most attractive one is the statue of Maitreya which was made in Tang and is the biggest Buddle of all the statues in Bingling Temple .It is 27meters high ,And his arms ,head ,and his body were carved on the cliff and the legs were made of straw and stucco over inner wooden frame .The Buddle is Sitting on a platform ,putting his left hand on his knee, his right hand on his abdomen ,Ti seems like a hungry man sitting there to wait his dinner
3 The highest and oldest Bingling Temple Caves is the 169, which is built in the Western Qin dynasty ,It was excavated in a natural cavity which is 8meters in depth .26 meters in width and 18meters in height ,And the cave 60meters off the earth .We can get there through a wooden trestle. The cave contains 24niches ,19 stone and 39clay sculptures .And the biggest mural is kept in the caves ,which is dedicated to Buddele ,Bohisattva ,Apsara ,etc. It has a great value for the history of Chinese Painting and the spread of Buddhism.
