▲辨析invent/discover/find/find out
①invent意为“发明;创造”,主要指通过想象、研究、劳动等创造出前所未有的东西,尤指科技上的创造发明。
②discover指发现或偶然发现本身就存在但未被认识的事物。
③find强调的结果,即“到”,通常指偶然发现。
④find out指经过观察、调查,把某事物查出来,意为“搞清楚;弄明白”。
2.一般过去时态的被动语态
