My Best Friend
I have a really good friend named Jessica. She's the bestest friend anyone could ever have! Jessica is funner, nicer, and cooler than all my other friends.
Jessica and me have been friends since we were just tiny kids in pre-school. I remember the first day I met her - it was during circle time and she had the most awesomer hair ribbons than anyone else. From that day on, we were inseparable! We did everything together back then - played on the swing set, made mud pies, and took naps on the little rainbow mats.
As we got older and started elementary school, Jessica was still my number one bestie. We had so much fun together at recess every day. Jessica is more athletic than me, so she
was better at games like tetherball and kickball. But I'm smarter than her when it comes to schoolwork. We made a great team! During lunchtime, Jessica's snacks were always tastier than the ones my mom packed me. She had the yummiest chips, cookies, and juices.
Now that we're in 6th grade, me and Jessica are still tight as can be. We've been through so much together over all these years. Her house is bigger and nicer than mine, with a enormous playroom and pool out back. Jessica has way more video games and toys than I do too. But my bedroom is neater and cleaner than hers! We love having sleepovers at each other's houses every weekend, eating junk food and watching movies late into the night.
I'm so lucky to have such an incredible friend like Jessica. She's more loyal, trustworthy, and fun than anyone else I know. We go together like peanut butter and jelly! Jessica is the peanut butter to my jelly -sticking together through thick and thin. I know our friendship will last forever, even after we go to middle school next year. Jessica truly is the bestestestest friend a kid could have!

My Best Friend
I have a really awesome best friend named Michael. He's the coolest guy I know! Michael and I have been friends since we were just little kids in kindergarten. We've gone through so much together over the years. I'm going to tell you all about my amazing best buddy.
Michael is taller than most of the other kids in our 6th grade class. He's gotten so tall recently that sometimes I have to look up when we're talking face-to-face. His hair is a darker shade of brown than mine. While my hair is kind of a light, sandy brown color, his is a rich, chocolate brown. I think his hair color is way cooler than mine.
We're both really into sports, but Michael is even more athletic than me. He's the fastest runner in our gym class races. No one can beat him when we run the mile! Michael is also stronger than me when it comes to push-ups and pull-ups. I have a hard time keeping up with how many he can do. I'm a decent athlete, but he's better at sports than I am.
Another thing about Michael is that he gets better grades than I do, especially in math class. Numbers just seem to make more sense to him. Whenever I'm struggling with a tough math problem, Michael is able explain it in a simpler way that helps me understand it better. He has more patience for solving complicated equations than I do. I tend to get frustrated if I can't figure something out right away.
Michael has a funnier sense of humor than anyone else I know too. He's an absolute master of telling jokes and doing funny impressions of our teachers. Whenever we're hanging out, he always has me cracking up laughing. Michael makes even the most boring circumstances more entertaining and fun. His jokes are way funnier than anything I could come up with. I'm just not as naturally hilarious as he is.
That's what makes Michael such an awesome best friend. He's tall, athletic, smart, patient, and hilarious. We've been best buds for forever and we do everything together. Michael is like the cooler, funnier, smarter big brother I never had. I know I can count on him for anything, no matter what. Whenever I'm having a bad day, Michael's cheerful attitud

I feel so lucky to have an incredible best friend like Michael in my life. He's one-of-a-kind and I wouldn't trade him for anyone else. Spending time with a friend as amazing as him inspires me to give my best effort at everything I do.
