can和could的区别和用法 篇一
1、表示能力
can表示现在的能力，could表示过去的能力，要表示将来具备的能力通常用be able to的将来时态
例：He can speak a little English now.
She could play the piano when she was five.
【注意】：
1)could表示过去的能力，通常只用于表示过去一般性能力（即想做事就随时可做事的能力），而不表示过去的特定能力（即在过去特定场合做事的能力）
例：Could you speak English then? 那时候你会说英语吗？
I couldn't find her house 我不到她的家了。
2)若表示过去的特定能力，需用was (were) able to do sth/managed to do sth/succeeded in doing sth等
例：He studied hard and was able to pass the e某am. 他学习很努力，所以考试能及格。
At last he succeeded in solving the problem. 他终于把那个问题解决了。
3)若在否定句中则没有以上限制，即couldn’t可表示过去特定情况下的能力
例：He studied hard but still couldn’t pass the e某am.他学习很努力，但是仍然没通过考试。
2、表示请求许可
1)表示现在的允许时
① 表示请求允许（即请求别人允许自己做事），两者都可用，could语气更加委婉客气
can的过去式例：Can i try those shoes on please?
Could i try those shoes on please?
我能试一下那些鞋子吗？could语气更为委婉
② 表示给予允许（即自己允许别人做事）， 一般只用can，而不用could，主要用于疑问句中（不可用于肯定句中），应答语用can
例：Could you please take out the trash ？ 你能帮我倒一下垃圾吗？Yes,I can/No,I can't
2)表示过去的允许时
① 若表示过去一般性允许（即表示人随时都可以做事），用could
When I lived at home, I could watch TV whenever I wanted to. 我住在家里时， 想什么时候看电影就可以什么时候看（一般性允许）
② 若表示在过去其中一特定情况下允许进行其中一特定的活动，则不用could
I was allowed to see the film yesterday evening. 昨天晚上允许我去看了电影。（特定的允许，不能用could）
3、表示推测可能性，can 可能性比could 大
一般来说，Can 表示实实在在存在的事实，而could 有可能性，但是是有条件的
例：we can listen BBC programmes on the radio or the Internet 我能通过广播和网络听BBC的节目（实实在在存在的一种事实）
We could learn English in the evening at a night school 我能去上夜校学习英语（可能性，前提条件是需要有时间和money）
I could spend my life lying on a beach,but i have to go to work to earn some money.（工作挣钱就是一个限制条件）
1)表示理论上的可能性（即从理论上分析是可能的，但实际未必会发生），可用 can（表现在）或 could（表过去）
She could be very unhappy for the nosie
2)表示现在的可能性或将来的可能性，通常都不用can，但可用could，但是当用Can表示现在的可能性，通常只限于否定句或疑问句中：
You could go to Guilin this summer holiday（将来可能性）
You could be right, but I don’t think you are 你可能是对的，但我不认为你对。（现在可能性）
It can’t be true. 那不可能是真的。
4、在下面几种情况时只能用Could
1)虚拟语气里面只能用could
If it had not rained so hard yesterday we could have played tennis（本该去打球的，但由于下雨没去）
2)表示委婉的时候 只能用could
Could I use your pen?（不知道对方是否借钢笔，很委婉的请求）
3)表示建议和忠告，只能用could
Could you give me a suggestion about learning english?（你能给我一条学英语的建议吗？）
can的例句 篇二
（1）表示能力，意思为“能，会”。如：
I can sing this song in English. 我能用英语唱这首歌。
Can you tell me where the museum is? 你能告诉我博物馆在哪吗？
（2）表示许可，意思是“可以”。如：
You can use my pen instead 你可以用我的笔。
（3）表示推测，意为“可能，会”，主要用于否定句和疑问句中。如：
Can he be there too? 他也会在那儿吗？
He can’t have finished his work. 它不可能把工作做完了。
【说明】有时也用于肯定句中表示“有时”，或表示理论上的可能性。如：
She can be very unpleasant. 她有时很令人讨厌。
Even e某perienced teachers can make mistakes. 即使是有经验的教师也可能出错。
