不定代词
不定代词
不定代词是不指明代替任何特定名词或形容词的代词。
不定代词可分为两大类:
由body,one,thing构成的复合不定代词
somebody,anybody,everybody,nobody
someone,anyone,everyone,no one
something,anything,everything,nothing
兼做代词和限定词(即形容词)的代词
All    another  any  both  each  either  few  little  many  much  neither  none  other    some
此外,还有every和no只能作限定词,不能作代词。
复合不定代词
复合不定代词作主语相当于单数,且有修饰词修饰时,要置于其后。
1. Somebody 和someone意思相同都表示“某人”,但只用于肯定句,在否定句和疑问句中通常用anybody和anyone,在句子中主要充当主语和宾语。
Somebody/someone said that you have been ill.
Somebody/someone has turned off the lights.
I need someone/somebody to help me.
She wants somebody/someone to look after her.
Did anyone/anybody ever hear the news?
I don’t know anybody/anyone in the party.
Anybody 和anyone 还可以表示“任何人”
Anyone /anybody can tell you how to get there.
I never discussed it with anybody/anyone.
Anyone/anybody can do that.
2. everybody 和everyone 意思相同,表示“每人,人人,所有人”。
Everyone/everybody was glad to see him back.
Everyone/everybody laughed except me.
3. something 表示 “某样东西”,在疑问句和否定句中用anything。
Something has happened.
I will tell you something about myself.
Has anything happened?
We can’t decide anything now.
Anything 还可以用于条件句
If you want anything, you can call me.
others什么意思Anything 还可以表示‘“任何东西(事情)”。
I want something to eat, anything is OK.
If it’s possible, I will do anything for you.
4. everything 表示“一切”nothing用于否定句(等同于 not anything),表示“没有什么”
How is everything?
Money is not everything.
Nothing could make her change her mind.
He had nothing to say.
He knew nothing about it.
5. nobody 和no one 一样,表示“没有人”。
Nobody can answer my question.
No one is able to work out the problem.
兼做代词和限定词(即形容词)的代词
1. some 和any 的用法
Some 和any 都表示“一些”可以指人或其他可数的东西,也可以代表不可数的东西,可用作主语和宾语等,some用于肯定句,any用于疑问句和否定句。
Some of them can speak Japanese.
Some of his books are very exciting.
Some still believe he is right.
Do you know any of them.
I don’t expect to see any of them here.
Did you give her any?
Is there any left in the fridge?
Some 间或可以用在疑问句中,这时往往希望得到肯定的答复。
Could you please me something about he book?
Would you like some coffee?
Any还可以用来表示“任何,任一”
Any is good for me.
I will take any that you don’t like.
2. some ,any, no 作定语的用法
Some和any表示“一些”,some用于肯定句,any用于疑问句和否定句,no表示“没有”,等于not any,这些词在句子中代替形容词,在句子中作定语,起到修饰和限制形容词的作用。
some修饰可数名词(单、复数皆可)和不可数名词, any可以修饰可数名词(多为复数)和不可数名词, no 修饰可数单数和不可数名词。
She bought some biscuits.
Some people learn everything fast.
Some work is pleasant.
Are there any cows in the farm?
Did he catch any fish?
No man is good at everything.
I have no spare time.
3. many, much, few, little, a few, a little
这些不定代词在句子中可充当形容词,
修饰可数复数
Many(许多)
Few(很少,几乎没有)否定
A few(几个,一些)肯定
修饰不可数
Much(很多)
Little(很少,几乎没有)否定
A little(一些,一点)肯定
Many 和much均表示“很多,大量”,many 修饰可数复数,much修饰不可数。
I have many friends.
I don’t have much time.
He has made many mistakes.
It didn’t cost much money to buy the computer.
Few是many的反义词,表示“很少,几乎没有”,用来修饰可数名词。Little是much的反义词,表示“很少,几乎没有”,用于修饰不可数名词。Few和little都带有否定意义。
Few people live to be 100 years old.
They said few words in the class.
She has little spare time.
They had very little money.
A few 表示“几个,一些”,修饰可数名词复数,意思接近于some,
A little 表示“一点,一些”,修饰不可数名词,意思也接近于some。
He asked me a few questions.
This happened a few days ago.
Come in and have a little water.
He has only a little money left.
这些不定代词还可以作为代词,在句子中充当主语或宾语等。
Many表示 “很多人或东西”,代表复数可数名词。
Many of us passed the exam.
Many of the people in the meeting left early.
Many of the mistakes were just careless.
Much 表示“好多”,代表不可数名词
Much of the information was wrong.
Much of the time has been wasted.
Few 是many 的反义词,有否定的意思,表示“很少,几乎没有”,只代表可数名词复数。
Few of the performers performed very well.
Few of the books are easy for me.
I know few of the people.
Little 是much 的反义词,有否定的意思,表示“很少,几乎没有”,只代表不可数名词,意思接近于nothing。
You have done very little for us.
You eat too little.
I understand little of his speech.
A few 有肯定的意思,表示“有几个,一些”,代表复数可数名词。
Only a few of the people are free.
I met a few of my friends there.
A little 也有肯定的意思,表示“一点儿,一些”,代表不可数名词。
Please tell me a little about his illness.
There is a little meat left in the fridge.
4. all
不定代词all可用作代替形容词,
表示“所以的”在句子中用作定语,用于修饰复数可数名词(三者。或三者以上),
All these girls are good at swimming.
She has read all the books.
也可以修饰不可数名词,表示“一切”,
Not all food is good to eat.
He has lost all his money.
还可以与可数单数连用,表示“整个”。
