In Hangzhou, there are so many delicious snacks to try. One of my favorites is the famous Hangzhou-style fried dumplings. They are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the filling is so flavorful. I could eat a whole plate of these in one sitting!
Another must-try snack in Hangzhou is the beggar's chicken. It's a whole chicken stuffed with delicious ingredients like mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and Chinese herbs, then wrapped in lotus leaves and clay and baked to perfection. The result is tender, flavorful chicken that falls off the bone. It's definitely a unique and tasty dish.
If you have a sweet tooth, you have to try the Hangzhou-style pastries. The most famous one is the West Lake lotus root starch. It's a sweet, sticky dessert made from lotus root starch, sugar, and osmanthus flowers. The texture is chewy and the flavor is delicate and floral. It's the perfect way to end a meal.
For something savory, you can't go wrong with Hangzhou-style noodles. They are thin and springy, served in a flavorful broth with toppings like braised pork belly, bamboo shoots, and pickled vegetables. It's simple but so satisfying, and it's a popular choice for a quick and delicious meal.
杭州吃    Last but not least, don't leave Hangzhou without trying the famous Longjing tea. It's a type of green tea grown in the Longjing village, just outside the city. The tea leaves are pan-fried to stop the fermentation process, resulting in a sweet, nutty flavor. It's the perfect way to wash down all the delicious snacks you've tried in Hangzhou.
