English language requirements
All applicants wishing to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate coursework study at the University of Canberra must meet the English proficiency requirements for that particular course. The full details of English Proficiency Requirements are listed below.

Section A: Meeting English Proficiency Requirements through Previous Study

Applicants are regarded as meeting the University's English proficiency requirements for all UC coursework courses(both postgraduate and undergraduate), including those with higher English proficiency requirements, if they have completed one of the following qualifications, where the medium of instruction was English in one of the countries/territories listed in Table 1:
Senior Secondary Study: Successful completion of Year 12 (or equivalent), comparable with the NSW HSC ; or
Post-Secondary Study: Successful completion of an equivalent AQF Diploma or Advanced Diploma; or Australian (or equivalent) tertiary preparation course (including Australian university foundation courses), with a full-time equivalence of one year; or
Tertiary Study: Successful completion of at least one (1) year of full-time AQF Level 7 (Bachelor) and above.
