一、课程简介
立春习俗通过阅读以英文为母语的学者撰写的学术论文和书籍,让学生克服英文恐惧症,能阅读英文材料,理解其主旨并用简单的英文表达自己的观点和思想。
二、课程性质与目的
了解学术界的行文习惯和思维习惯,熟悉学术出版物的写作规范和出版流程,为将来的学术生涯做好准备。
了解英文学术文章的基本结构,表达形式和撰写禁忌。
能独立撰写合格的英文摘要,为将来的本科毕业论文环节做好准备。

第二章  Would You Be Happier if You Were Richer? A Focusing Illusion

4. What is focusing illusion?
  When people consider the impact of any single factor on their well-being, they are prone to exaggerate its importance. We refer to this tendency as the focusing illusion.
