Course Description
This course is aimed at improving students’ command of E nglish for psychology. Attention is drawn to reading, listening, and translation skills. The course is made up by three parts. Part one-aceademic reading which has ten chapters , each of which is composed of three components. Part two is academic information. Part three is golssary. At the end of course, the students are expected to be able to read and translate standard pyschological pieces in English, with the aid of dictionaries and reference books.
Aims and Objectives
•To improve reading and listening skills
•To enlarge vocabulary of pyschology
•To foster basic translation skills
•To broaden knowledge of newly development in pyschology
Requirement
Before each lecture, students are expected
•to read the paper or chapter in the course, with the aid of references and dictionaries
•to read the supplementary materials
•to learn the proper pronunciation of the words and expressions provided in each chapter

•Final Exam: 70 %: On the 12th week, an open-examination will be conducted.
