 Guangdong Province is located in the southernmost part of Chinese mainland, with a land area of 179,800 square kilometers and an island area of 1,592.7 square kilometers. It is bordered by the South China Sea in the south, with a total mainland coastline of 3,368.1 kilometers and numerous islands. Located in the low latitude of the province, the Tropic of Cancer runs through the middle of the land. The 122-kilometer-long Pearl River is the third largest river in China, and the Pearl River Delta is a famous land of plenty.
Guangdong Province is located in the southernmost part of Chinese mainland. It is adjacent to Fujian in the east, Jiangxi and Hunan in the north, Guangxi in the west and South China Sea in the south. The east and west sides of the Pearl River Estuary are respectively bordered by Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, and Leizhou Peninsula in the southwest faces Hainan Province across the Qiongzhou Strait.
