Determination of 7Harmful Impurity Elements in Titanium Concentrate
by Alkali Melting ICP-AES

Abstract:A new method for the determination of seven impurity elements in titanium concentrate,such as SiO 2,CaO,MgO,Al 2O 3,P 2O 5,Cr 2O 3and V 2O 5,is proposed,which is based on the mixture of anhydrous sodium carbonate and boric acid,sulfuric acid leaching and ICP-AES.The amount of various reagents,the measuring conditions of instruments and the selection of spectral lines were tested and discussed.The determination of titanium concentrate samples showed that the method has the advantages of high sensitivity,low amount of reagents and wide linear range.Methods the detection limit was low,the precision was high,and the results were accurate and reliable.
